Maxwell Oliveira-Koudry

Maxwell graduated in Astrophysics from Cardiff University, with a Masters project focused on commissioning upgrades to the most sensitive table-top interferometric system on the planet (QUEST). Through the Turing Scheme, Maxwell worked as an undergraduate research assistant at Somiya Lab, Institute of Science Tokyo, investigating gravitational decoherence of macroscopic objects using diamagnetic levitation. In 2025 he joined UCL as a PhD researcher in the Department of Physics & Astronomy, where his work focuses on the development of next-generation solid-state masers.
