Matthew Kendall

PhD StudentLattice surgeon

Matthew received an Msci in Physics from Imperial where he worked on photon detectors and superconducting qubits. He joined UCL as part of the quantum computing and communication CDT, and is working on cavity QED based quantum computing architectures. His project aims to build tweezer arrays of Ytterbium in a cavity, and realise non local quantum logic gates between spatially separated atoms. This involves quantum optics, open quantum systems and quantum error correction.
